It normally involved lots of warm cider and being very tired... Also I can pretty much sleep anywhere... One year I was on one of the hillier bits, and slept soundly, until I woke up in one corner of my tent with everything in it underneath or on top of me...

haha that's pretty hardcore!! I have to have a relativly flat bit of ground or I really struggle to sleep! I no some people that slept in red at Reading directly behind one of the massive generators for the fairground rides. Needless to say they didn't get much sleep and I found the whole thing rather funny as I warned them about how loud it would be once the fair was up and running but they choose to ignore me. lol

Hiya! This is all really helpful being a complete newbie, I was worried how it all works on the campsites (being a total girl in know! lol)...one question - can you pair with a friend for shifts? I'm sure I've seen something on this but not sure if its a 'if you're lucky' kind of thing?

We'll be trying to group friends together. This is more likely if you and your friend(s) arrive and sign-in at the festival together.

Yep! :o) Although it may still be necessary to split large groups of friends into a couple of smaller groups.

Yeah that would be fair enough. It was a good idea in theory last year but just didn't work although it meant you had to talk to other people!! lol
