2 cans of Relentless is fine, you might need the toilet a few times though...

helloo, my name is lucy and I will be another first time CAT at leeds, although ive been to the fest itself for the past 3 years running. I'm 18, will be 19 by then and i go to Nottingham University. I'm coming with my boyfriend and 2 mates, it sounds pretty fun and it hopefully it isn't toooo much hard work haha! i'm hoping to get friday night off cos that's got the best bands in my opinion :)
also i live about 5 mins away from bramham park, oh and according to my uni friends i have a very strong leeds accent! lol :)
i have a question for the experienced CATs, are they as strict as they make out to be regarding uniform and conduct etc in terms of getting your deposit back? i need every penny of it! haha thanks :)

it's pretty simple to get is all back, all you have to do keep your tabbard on while on shift, not drink/be drunk on shift and not act like an idiot!

Just got my confirmation!
I'm Charlotte, will be 21 in August, student and first time CAT-er, although been to Leeds before. do people usually go on the Tuesday or Wednesday? Cos with shifts being first come first served i REALLY want to make sure I don't miss Friday night, but I'm coming on my lonesome so no point being there early and spending unnecessary nights way from the comfort of a proper bed, right?

that queue was fun when it started to rain... haha! the guys in front were just cowering under a piece of tapaulin and everyone was trying to protect their open beer cans from getting diluted with rain water

it's my first time as a CAT and it looks like i'm going on my own so would be nice to get to know some of you before the fest :)

post a little bit about yourself, where you're from, what bands you're most looking forward to, if you've been before etc..

I'm Gemma, 18 from Cheshire and i'm in my first year studying Events Management at Sheffield Hallam University.
I went to Leeds for the first time last year and i also love Glastonbury Festival. First time not going to glasto for 3 years due to lack of funds so i'm looking for an extra amazing time at leeds to make up for it!
i'm loving basically all of friday lineup; frank turner, gaslight anthem, cribs, maccabees then libertines and arcade fire will actually make my life!
other highlights include blink, we are scientists, billy talent, gogol bordello, lcd soundsystem and lostprophets.
hoping i get to see them all between my shifts!

Sorry! how rude...

Hi everyone we're from Chesterfield and first time CAT's at Leeds (I'm Jen n my bessie mates Laura), we're regulars at most festivals and have camped with crews as I worked for an access company but have now changed jobs and don't get production passes anymore :o(

Can't wait to work it and meet loads of new people, the line-ups not what I expected but still too excited to contain myself eeeee

Hope to see u all there! xx

Hey there :) I'm Shannon, I'll be 18 by the time of the festival, and I'm from California -- right now I'm in my first year at UC Santa Cruz. My mom is from Ireland and I was going to go visit this summer, and I used to be OBSESSED with the Libertines, so I figured why not volunteer? I've never been to Leeds before but I'm excited!

Hey hey, im Scott. Ill be 19 when the festival comes around and im from Rotherham (Sheffields piety next door neighbour). This will be my 4th leeds fest, although my first time volunteering. Right looking forward to it now!
Does anyone know when would be the earliest we could get there on the Tuesday? I hear its first come first serve on shifts so we want to get there as early as we can.
