Just need to decide how to get to Leeds from Cleethorpes/Grimsby nice and early to get good shifts :) lovelovelove biffy, if I miss them, I think I will cry! haha can't wait!

Hey Nat, I am from Grimsby/Cleethorpes too!

You won't cry as much as me if I miss Biffy... I missed the tour earlier in the year and was in a sulk for a week!

i am yannis, 19years old and greek. i study architecture in crete. i was confirmed as a CAT a couple of nigts ago. i've been trying to make it to this festival since 2006, i have yet to realize that i am actually coming this year. nice!
bands i wanna see bad are the libertines, foals(again), crystal castles(again), klaxons, atari teenage puddle, arcade fire, the drums, holy kick(again), health(again), lcds, the big pink..i could go on and on. god, i love this line up!

i am also coming on my own, since i'll be traveling alone for a while at the time to sort a couple of things out!well kind of! so, meeting people is way way up in my to do list.

Hello I'm Amy and I'll be twenty *cough* nine of the first day of the fest. This will be my 5th year working with CATs at Leeds and my 2nd year at Latitude. All in all, this will be my 10th or 11th Leeds (I've forgotten in my old age)

I'm no longer an ordinary CAT, I now work in CAT control so I'll be the friendly voice on the radio every early shift at Leeds fest and every night shift at Latitude.
I'm also one of these crazy people who spends half their summer in various fields, working at various festivals. Leeds will be my last of the season so the tan will be coming along nicely by then.

I'm not sure who's playing at Leeds this year other than Guns & Roses, Biffy Clyro and Queens of the Stone Age. All of which I'm looking forward to seeing.

So, welcome everyone new and returning. Hope you all have a lovely time :-)

Hi I'm Zoe, 21, just graduated from Manchester Met. I've been to V (Stafford), Reading and Glastonbury before but this is to be my first Leeds and first time volunteering. Most looking forward to seeing Frank Turner, The King Blues, blink-182 and Mumford & Sons.

What time do the queues usually start for shifts on Tuesday? Well before 12? What time are you allowed on site?

Would it be possible to work for example:
Wednesday 17:00 > 01:00
Thursday or Monday 09:00 > 17:00
Friday or Saturday 01:00 > 09:00

So you wouldn’t miss any of the bands? Or is in compulsory that everyone has to do at least one shift that is on at the same times as the bands?

never say never, but those shift patterns aren't the norm for Leeds, lol.
You wouldn't be allowed both of the first two on that list because there is only an 8hour space between which is not safe working practise.
Based on previous experience, you might expect one day (8am - 4pm), one evening (4pm - midnight)and one night (midnight to 8am), with a 24 hour break between.
