I'm a first time volunteer at reading but have been many times before. I was wondering where the Staff campsite is located and how far it is from the main arena.

It's next to the White campsite, so quite a way from the arena. There is good news. It means it's quiter if you're trying to sleep during the day, and there's a staff boat that runs from near the bridge, down to Green gate.

The boat doesn't run on the Monday or the Tusday as far as I'm aware so you'll have to walk from Red Gate throught Red, Green, Purple, Brown and White to get to the staff camp. Although as I said, I think this only relevent if your arriving on Monday or Tusday.
