Hi,

Me again :)

I am in Echo so don't need to arrive until Wednesday,BUT I'm debating coming on the Tuesday so I get a decent place to pitch my tent (ie. as far away form the toilets as is possible) - is this a good idea? Or will arriving early on Wednesday morning be just as effective?

I also wondered when the catering companies arrive at the festival. I'm guessing Thursday? I'm vegan so until they arrive (I'm assuming they still have veggie stalls, otherwise I'm screwed) I'll have to be creative so this also adds to my Tuesday/Wednesday dilema.

I'm coming on my own so be nice to me -I'm super excited but a teeny weeny bit nervous :)

Thank you,

Alexis.

The crew catering tent (and most of the catering vans) open on Wednesday, but Tesco and the town centre are within walking distance... Personally I'd recommend arriving as early as you can, as this will give you a chance to explore the site and meet a few other volunteers prior to the shifts starting.

Thank you. I should be able to find something in Tesco. And there is also a couple of Holland&B around. I probably won't find anything in the Crew catering tent but we'll see.

Thanks for the tip - looks like Tuesday is best.

Kitty,

There's always at least 1 veggi & vegan food stall in the arena. If you ask them very very nicely, they may give you staff discount. Not all traders do it but if you don't ask, you don't get.
