Created this topic for people like myself who are coming to Reading festival as a solo volunteer in any shift group who wanted to meet up with other lone rangers during the festival!

Hoping to meet some fun individuals to hang with in and outside of Reading, been to Latitude this year and suffered major festival blues.. so here I am! 3rd Reading festival, but 1st time volunteering

What are your shifts Jon? Looking forward to Major Lazer not gonna lie! Knife party, green day, disclosure, new found glory, fall out boy,bastille, kodaline and more if they are one just after some of my shifts!
If anyone has a stove, I have some canned gas we can make a warm noodle pot of love.. nothing better

heya, I am also going alone! First time in the UK, first time at Reading and first time volunteering at Reading ;D I am in Delta 1, and I will go to festival on 21st from London! if there is anyone also going from London on Wednesday, let me know ;)

At Latitude they only allowed a certain type of gas? Same with Reading I think?? I'll double check the list of what you can't bring but my gas is butane? I'll double check before I go :)
Alise I'm in Delta 1 too! If you want to meet up or check out my facebook let me know and we can sort things from there
ALSO guys, you know we have to take like a passport or other documents to show we have rights to work in the UK? I'm super scared about taking it to the festival, was wondering if any of you knew if they keep it in a safe or locker system?

Reading has a 'no gas canisters' policy. BBQs, solid fuel or paraffin are allowed.
Passports and any other documents can be kept in the safe in the office - just remember to collect them before you go home!!

I'm not directly coming alone but I have all my shifts alone! It's my first time volunteering and also my first time at Reading fest so i'm pretty nervous.. I'm in towercats delta 2!

Anyone free Wednesday night or Friday/Saturday? I may just hold a lonely pair of briefs on a pole labelled delta 1 and see if peeps come running! Also does anyone know how long after Reading fest we get our deposit back?

Hey, i'm Emily, 18 and first time working at reading (been the past 2 years though). I'm in Delta 1 and am coming up on wednesday morning so it would be cool to meet up with some of you guys! Abie i'm pretty much free the whole festival other than when i'm working! xD

I'm attending the second fire briefing at 7:30 as well as the group briefing before hand at 6pm, if it helps I may wear a Pikachu hat so you know who I am at the briefings! Why not eh?
