Evening, this year will be my first year voluntering and I'm wondering what is the cheapest / easiest way to get to Big Chill and Latitude festivals from London?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Keep your eye on the lift share thread and see if there is anyone from your area that is offering a lift in return for a share of the petrol costs. It's probably the easiest, cheapest and most sociable way of travelling. Failing that, start looking for cheap early deals on the train or national express.

Free staff buses are organised to meet trains - to help you get from the train station to site - we'll be posting info soon.

Keep an eye on the Hotbox News and make sure you've joined the Hotbox Newsletter.

Sarge, I'm coming from London and will be going to Latitiude and Big Chill... PM me your percy details, mobly number, address, eMail address.. we can arrange details.. looking for equal share of fuel costs, hopefully there'll be a few more nearer the time, maybe some of the people I brought last year, so the costs will be much lower all round.

I'm possibly driving to Leeds. How do I get a car park pass, if this is even possible? And is there a car park?

Hi Jen,

Yes there is a decent sized carpark, quite close to the staff camping area at Leeds festival. Staff camping and car parking is in a different area to the regular punter camping. You can collect your car pass from the CAT office when you arrive.

Have a look on the Car share thread to see if there is anyone else from your area that is looking for or offering a lift. That'll help cut your travelling costs down.

Hi All

Just to add to this, car parking passes are allocated though your PAAM account, you will need to log in to your PAAM and tick the section regarding needed a car parking pass, this will be then sent to your home address prior to the event.

Many thanks Amy for helping the newcomers out on the forum.
