Hotbox Events sponsoring Frimley Park Hospital Charity's Breast Care Appeal

Friday, August 15, 2014

Carrie Burgess, who has worked with Hotbox Events at the Reading and Leeds Festival, is soon to cycle over 1,000 km to raise money for the Frimley Park Hospital Charity's Breast Care Appeal!

The goal of the Frimley Park Hospital Charity's Breast Care Appeal is to provide a dedicated breast unit at Frimley Park Hospital, plus equipment to help with the early diagnosis of breast cancer.

The earlier patients are diagnosed the greater the chance that their treatment will be successful and thus quality of life. The new unit will also help to support the hospitals patients, families and friends.

Carrie is currently a Cancer Research Clinical Trials Nurse at Frimley Park Hospital. In late August 2014 Carrie will be taking 8 days out of her research to cycle the 1,000 km to Brest in France and back again. Carrie has always been a keen mountain biker but has little experience in road cycling so has been training hard to make sure she can complete the challenge!

If you'd like to support Carrie by donate to the Breast Care Appeal you can find Carrie's JustGiving page.
