A huge thank you to our amazing 2019 Reading and Leeds staff and volunteers!
2019 was Hotbox Events' 17th year at Leeds Festival and 14th year at Reading Festival, so heading to Bramham Park and Richfield Avenue for the Reading and Leeds weekend now very much feels like going home! Come the week of the festivals we couldn't wait to welcome our regular staff and volunteers, and those joining us for the first time, to Reading and Leeds!
The feedback we received throughout Reading and Leeds from the festival's management team, zone managers and other agencies we work with was fantastic to hear! Everyone was so impressed and appreciative of your efforts; your positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude making sure that everyone you interacted with at Reading and Leeds had the best possible week, felt safe, and received the assistance they required.
Not for the first time in 2019 we were blessed with amazing weather...some might even say a little too blessed! Working at music festivals in the high temperatures we experienced at Reading and Leeds is always a struggle, so a big thank you for pushing on through the blazing sun!
We'd like to send out a special thank you to everyone at Reading who helped with a very busy Orange Zone and unexpected additional wristband checks on the Thursday, to those working the Sunday night who did a brilliant job of maintaining the campfire curfew, and of course not forgetting the entertainment you provided throughout the week on the boats!
We'd like to send out another special thank you to everyone at Leeds who did a brilliant job of helping campers find space at the beginning of the week, for your assistance with event egress at the end of every day, and for your second to none fire response across the Leeds campsites!
One final special thank you must go out to our amazing minibus drivers at Leeds Festival! As ever, you were in high demand from the festival's staff, volunteers, and members of the public, being pulled from pillar to post to get everyone where they needed to be! You once again did a brilliant job, taking the obstacles...be it a broken bus, or two, and the unexpected (or perhaps now not so unexpected...) requests, in your...can buses stride? So again, a massive thank you for all you did at Leeds 2019!

We're already planning for next year and your suggestions are always taken into consideration; many of which help us to improve both our service to the festival goers and the experience for our staff and volunteers. So, if you do have any comments - good or bad - please don't hesitate to get in touch. We realise nothing is perfect so please don't be afraid of having a moan if there is something you'd like us to take into consideration for 2020!
