Latitude - it's going to be a hot one!

It looks like we are in for a very hot Latitude Festival! Please make sure you are prepared e.g. sunhats, sun cream, light clothing, bottles of water...

Once you're onsite and working please make sure you keep an eye on the public regarding the heat. Suggesting they wear a sun hat, have cream on, drink plenty of water. Please make sure you remind them of where the free water points are for refilling bottles.

Don't forget to keep yourselves hydrated whilst on shift and keep re-applying suncream regularly. We'd also recommend when you're taking your breaks to find some cool and shaded to have a sit down and a rest.

Also - if someone isn't feeling great, please advise they DO NOT SHELTER IN A TENT but rather sit outside in the shade.

It's important for you all to familiarise yourselves with the locations of first aid tents and how to contact the onsite medical teams should they be required.

In case you or a festival goer forgets to bring something with you - the onsite supermarket will have good stocks of sun cream and water, there are plenty of non-food traders who will be selling sun hats...

Something else to look out for and be conscious of is extinguishing cigarettes appropriately. The recent hot weather has dried the ground out and with the temperatures remaining high throughout the festival cigarette butts need to be put out properly and disposed of in cigarette butt bins, located across the festival site.

Any questions, please get in touch.
