It's what you've all been waiting for - Camp Bestival Dorset shift preference selection is now open!

When you login you'll find the shift patterns available at Camp Bestival Dorset, please make sure you indicate a preference for each shift as PAAM won't let you save your preferences until you have!

You have until midnight on Sunday 17th July to select your shift preferences, please make sure you have submitted your preferences before this date as after this, shifts will be allocated based on availability.

Following 17th July, it will take us several days to process shift preferences and allocate shift patterns for everyone joining us at Camp Bestival Dorset.

Once we have allocated your Camp Bestival Dorset shifts, we'll send another email letting you know it's time to login and find out your shift pattern and start planning your festival schedule!

How to choose your shifts

To choose your Camp Bestival Dorset shift preferences you need to:

  • Login to Hotbox Events PAAM
  • Click the Camp Bestival Dorset Info button
  • Read the Shift Planner in the Shift Preferences section
  • Choose your Shift Preferences via the Dropdowns
  • Click the Update Preferences button

Once we've allocated shift patterns (we expect this to be around 20th July), your shift pattern will show as your Group at the top of your Camp Bestival Dorset Info page.

Coming with Friends

If you're joining us at Camp Bestival Dorset with friends, please ensure their name and email address are listed in the Friends section of your profile so we can ensure you have the same shift pattern!

This your last chance to update the Friends section of your profile before Camp Bestival Dorset shifts are allocated!

Meal voucher ordering

You can now order your meal vouchers for Camp Bestival Dorset too! Camp Bestival Dorset's meal vouchers can be used at a selection of arena traders between Thursday 28th and Sunday 31st July and are offered at a greatly discounted price compared to normal food prices onsite.

Meal vouchers at Camp Bestival Dorset are not day or meal specific, which means you're able to order them before your shifts have been confirmed!

All Camp Bestival Dorset trader meal vouchers must be pre-ordered!

You can pre-order trader meal vouchers from Hotbox for £6.00 per voucher.

To order your Camp Bestival Dorset meal vouchers:

  • Login to Hotbox Events PAAM
  • Select the Latitude Event Info button.
  • Follow the instructions for meal voucher ordering.

Please note the deadline for pre-ordering meal vouchers is midnight Sunday 17th July 2022.

There will also be the option to buy food from a small catering van in the crew area (next to our compound) offering meals throughout the day, we'll be able to confirm more details at the festival but here you will be able to walk up and buy food and drink on demand.

The Hotbox compound will house a large marquee with tables, chairs and kettles, providing 24-hour access to hot water, tea and coffee! We will be providing some tea, coffee, milk and sugar although PLEASE bring your own mug!

Also, if you tend to drink a lot of tea and coffee, please bring some extra supplies as ours won't last forever!

More festivals you can apply for

To find out more and apply choose the festival you're interested in, you'll then find all the info including when you'll need to arrive at the festival, how many shifts you'll do, how old you need to be to join us at festivals, the kind of things you'll get involved with and loads more!

Paying your deposit

As usual, you need to pay a refundable security deposit to join us this summer.

When joining Hotbox Events you only need to pay 1 deposit to join us at as many festivals as you like each summer!

Deposits are returned within 30 days of the last day of a festival, if you have joined us before your deposit is discounted by 35%. There are no admin fees charged on deposits, so you receive your entire deposit back as long as you complete all of your shifts at the festivals!

Of course, if for any reason a festival does not go ahead, your security deposit will be returned to you in full.

Please remember that we cannot confirm your place until you have paid your deposit!

Going Solo

It's totally normal to be anxious before coming to a festival, particularly if you're coming solo! We get hundreds of messages every year from people wanting to join us but nervous about doing it, so we promise you're not alone! We're a very friendly bunch so if there's anything we can do to reduce your anxiety please get in touch! Try joining our Facebook Group to make friends with others before the festival - there are even a few WhatsApp groups that have been set up too!
